Petco Park

Petco ParkBegun in 2000, San Diego’s Petco Park was build under a Project Labor Agreement between the San Diego Padres and the San Diego County Building and Construction Trades Council. The General Contractor was San Diego Ballpark Builders, a partnership formed by Clark Construction, Nielsen Dilllingham Construction and Douglas E. Barnhart.

The ballpark project employed thousands of building trades men and women during its construction. Despite several political setbacks that caused a 14 month halt in construction, the ballpark was completed in time for the 2004 baseball season.
